Chai Tea - A Healthy Substitute For Coffee

Well you may probably be one of the hundreds and thousands of people who wake up in the morning and drink their cup of coffee for a jump-start of their day. And you might be one of the millions of coffee lovers that can't stand it if they haven't had any coffee for the day. Despite the fact that coffee is healthy, a new discovery has been made, which can act as a healthy substitute for coffee. What would it be? Well it is Chai Tea. This tea has been claimed as a very good alternative to coffee by health experts.

Unlike coffee, this tea has lesser caffeine and is not at all acidic. As a matter of fact, regular coffee expenditure is believed to delay digestion processes, stir up ulcers and cause sleep disturbances. However, when a person drinks a cup of Chai tea a day, they will feel better. It is because of the fact that the ingredients in this tea, particularly ginger, have a contradictory outcome on the human body. You don't necessarily need to have a change of heart in this kind of situation. You could still drink your favorite cup of coffee, but it is just that tea has more health benefits.

Chai teas are known to encompass a lot of antioxidants. These teas use black tea which is commonly known to have a quantity of potent antioxidants like poly-phenols, for instance. In our everyday life, our body produces or manufactures "free radicals". These "free radicals" slowly damage the cell wall and may cause a delay of cell activity. So these antioxidants counterbalance the damaging molecules and can restore the harm they have caused. That is why antioxidants are considered important for our body.

When it comes to the ingredients of Chai tea, there are actually a lot of natural ingredients which have a great contribution as far as the health benefits are concerned. Like Ginger, for instance. This is claimed to assist and restore the digestive and respiratory systems. Ginger may also reinforce the immune system to combat any kind of infection. Cloves assist the body in producing heat and can be important during winter or cold seasons.

Meanwhile, Cinnamon works as a catalyst for the other ingredients and Cardamom arouses the mind and perks up memory and precision. Chai tea is good to share with your family especially with your kids. So bring them along for them to benefit from it, too.
