Go Bananas Over Bananagrams

Remember those boring car journeys, those tiresome school holidays and those long waits in the airport terminal before a fun filled holiday? Endless renditions of 'Are we nearly there yet?' and 'Mum, I'm bored!' have haunted parents' ears for years! Find Me A Gift have found a silencer for these annoying anecdotes - the addictive Bananagrams Game.
This addictive anagram game is a modern rendition of Scrabble without the board! The game consists of 144 lettered tiles all stored inside a soft and silly banana shaped pouch. The Bananagrams Game is an entertaining gift for everyone, from age 7 to 107! In fact, a family spanned over three generations designed the game; the perfect indication of how popular this game is for all ages! The game's name is derived from the family's claim that it is the "anagram game that will drive you bananas!"

To play the game, all of the tiles are placed face down in the middle of the players. These tiles are referred to as the 'Bunch'. Each player takes a certain number of tiles from the 'Bunch' depending on how many players there are (as detailed in the instruction booklet). When a player shouts 'Split' each player collects their tiles from the middle and begins their individual word building game.

By creating words, the aim of the game is for the players to use up all their lettered tiles. Players will go 'ape' over the sayings they can call out during play. When a player uses up all of their original tiles they shout 'Peel' and take another tile from the 'Bunch'. This means all the other players also have to pick up another tile. A player can also exchange a tricky letter for an alternative from the 'Bunch' by saying 'Dump' but there are consequences...they have to pick up a further three tiles from the 'Bunch'!

Play continues until there are fewer tiles in the 'Bunch' than there are players in the game. The first player with no remaining tiles at this point must shout 'Bananas' to win the game. The remaining players are now allowed to inspect the winning hand for misspelled or incorrect words. If any are found, that player becomes the 'Rotten Banana', loses that hand and the games continues. One thing is for sure; this conundrum will drive players crazy!
