Neither is to assert that I do not understand the seriousness of appearance, especially in this day and age of sackings and cutbacks ( yeah, I know - management never bases employment choices on appearance, right ). I do not even mind spending cash for well-made, classic clothing because my opinion is that clothing can essentially be an investment and last for a few years. I even feel better when I buy fine quality clothing as it usually fits completely and then I really feel more enticing.
It's great for a patron like me. You see, instead of fighting the crowds ( and salespeople ) at the mall, I shop from the comfort of home ( or occasionally even the office, when time permits ) and everything I order is delivered right to me only a few days later on. No public dressing rooms, noticeable fluorescent lights and over-sized mirrors to deter me. No forceful sales clerk assuring me this color really brings out my eyes, or those pants make me look ten pounds lighter. Nope, I try on the garments I ordered right in the security of my very own home and I decide whether or not the fit is right or the color looks good.
One reason I love the Banana Republic online store is often because the clothes are well made and the fit is consistent. I know what size I wear, and what to expect. And, shipping is just a flat 7 bucks, unless you've a Banana Republic Mastercard, in that case shipping over $100 bucks is free. Once I realized how much I was spending in this store, I asked for a store credit card because I made a decision I might just as well exploit the added benefits. I frequently get coupons for 15% off that I am able to use either online or in the store ( i think you know where I use mine ). A little while back I spent enough that I was given a Luxe card, meaning all my shipping is free. Not a bad deal at all, particularly when you factor in how much gas adds to the price of shopping nowadays.
